The Pack Rack

This is the weekly Social Play option for The Pack Rack FAB seasonal league play. Partricpation points of 3 are awarded. No placement points. Players MUST register via the GEM login to recieve any points for the day. The default preset is for "Classic Constructed" but really players are free to play any format they wish.

Tables are first come first serve, as we also allow for Pokemon Social Play for the same day.

Tables available from open (12pm) til close (8pm). We do kindly ask that players plan to have things wrapped up by 7:45 so that staff has time to properly perform closing procedures.

This is a free play FAB league opportunity to earn points at The Pack Rack. Format will vary from Armory or Classic Constructed or any others that the player collective would like to do. Participation points are awarded, but no placement points. 

Points and any payouts associated with them are in addition to prize payouts given at FAB related events.

The first hour of 2pm-3pm is reserved as an open play beginners opportunity for new players to learn the basics from the shop's resident "ambassador" or other players willing to show them. 

Other players are encouraged to use that first hour to modify or tweak their decks.

Players MUST join the posted event via the GEM portal account process to be awarded ANY points.

The shop does also host Pokemon on the same day and bleedover of players could occur. Should that happen, the shop will make accomodations as best as possible. Current seating capacity is 26.

This is an Armory style booster draft; participation and placement points opportunity for Flesh & Blood Seasonal League play inside The Pack Rack. Players choose 3 packs  and build a deck out of those chosen. May want to bring a back up hero just in case one does not get pulled. 

A Booster Draft in FAB is a "limited" format where 6-8 players draft cards from three unopened booster packs to build a 30-card minimum deck on the spot. Players pick one card, pass the pack, and repeat until all cards are chosen, usually focusing on building around a young hero and their weapon. 

How a Booster Draft Works in FaB:

Setup: Each player starts with three unopened booster packs of the same set.

The Draft:

Pack 1: Everyone opens their first pack, selects one card, and passes the remaining cards to their left.

Pack 2: Everyone opens their second pack, selects a card, and passes to the right.

Pack 3: Everyone opens their third pack, selects a card, and passes to the left.

Deck Building: After all packs are drafted, players have roughly 30 minutes to build a deck of at least 30 cards, plus their hero, weapon, and equipment cards.

Deck Requirements: You must use a young hero from the set being drafted. 

Unlike constructed, you do not bring your own deck; you build it from the "pool" of cards you select, making it a test of skill, adaptation, and quick decision-making. 

This is also different from a 3 pack crack in that players do a shareable draft, vs building directly from their own cracked packs.

The first hour (1pm-2pm) is reserved for open/learn 2 play for new players to learn basics or returning players to be given a refresher. This format is offered every 1st Saturday of the month. Huge pre-releases of products might cancel and replace it should they occur.

This is a new format concept we'd like to offer at The Pack Rack. This is a hybrid of two formats: Living Legend and Ultimate Pit Fight. Deck builds would be based on Living Legend with game play being that of Ultimate Pit Fight. As with ALL FAB League Play events inside The Pack rack points are available towards seasonal play standings. 

The Living Legend format in Flesh and Blood is an "unstrained" format allowing all adult heroes—even those retired from Classic Constructed—to compete using their signature weapons. It acts as a, often, high-power, unrestricted, or "no banlist" format, designed for veteran, powerful heroes (1,000+ points) to continue play. 

Key details about the Living Legend format include:

Format Rules: It is based on Classic Constructed rules, generally using a best-of-one structure with a 55-minute round limit.

Hero Eligibility: Any adult hero that has reached 1,000+ points and has rotated out of the standard Classic Constructed format.

Card Legality: It is known for having very few, if any, restrictions (a "no banlist" starting point).

Purpose: It allows players to continue using their favorite, most powerful heroes in a competitive, yet "anything goes" setting.

The format provides a way for the meta-game to evolve, as heroes that become "too powerful" in the standard formats are "rotated" into this special, high-powered format.

Ultimate Pit Fight (UPF) is a casual, multiplayer "free-for-all" format for Flesh and Blood, typically played with 3–5 players using 40-card decks and young heroes. It emphasizes social gameplay and politics, where you can only attack players immediately to your left or right, last hero standing wins.

As with all Competitive Saturday events for FAB, the first hour of 1p-2p is reserved as a learn 2 play or refresher for new and returning players.The shop also hosts Pokemon the same day. Bleedover of players could occur, Should that happen, the shop will make accomodations as best as possible. Current seating capcity is 26.

Anytime there is a 5th occurence of a Thursday in a single month, it will trigger some form of a hybrid store championship! Each participant will be given 2 GEM packs for this event. They may be used as part of their drafting. As for the rest of the drafting, this is the fun part! Players will choose and purchase 5 packs from shop stock. Purchased packs go into a "blind pool" a.k.a. bucket of some sort. Once all players have made their purchases, players--one at a time will randomly choose 3 packs out of the shared pot to build their decks. Players may bring an extra hero, as a back up, should they not get one in drafting. 3 Pack Crack rules apply. 

The remaining packs that are in the prize bucket are used for prize payout in addition to additional GEM packs. First place will get 3 Gem Packs, and choose 2 packs from remaining shared stock--of their choosing;  2nd place 2 Gem Packs, and 1 pack from remaining shared stock of their choosing. 3rd Place 1 additional GEM pack, and 1 pack from remaining shared stock--chosen at random. This process continues on prize payout (minus the additional GEM packs) until all shared surplus packs have been claimed.
