Flesh and Blood Nationals 2026 – New Zealand
Card Merchant Wellington is incredibly proud to be hosting the New Zealand Nationals for Flesh and Blood this year. We’re excited to welcome qualified players from across the country to compete for the title of New Zealand National Champion.
This is a two-day championship event featuring both Classic Constructed and Draft play for a total of 10 rounds before breaking into our top 8.

Nationals will be hosted at our Store here in Wellington, which can comfortably accommodates up to 120 players with spacious seating.
While the store is located on the first floor, we have private access via a side elevator for anyone with accessibility requirements. If you require lift access or any additional assistance, please let our team know in advance and we’ll be happy to accommodate.
We’re located in central Wellington, with a Wilson Parking garage directly behind the venue, providing convenient parking across the entire weekend. There are also numerous cafés, restaurants, and takeaway options within walking distance. Our team will be more than happy to recommend great spots for breakfast, lunch, or dinner before, during, or after the event.
If you have any additional questions or specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re here to help make the weekend as smooth as possible.

---
Day One – Saturday, June 20th
Doors open at 8:00am, with the player meeting beginning at 9:00am. We’re aiming to start Round 1 shortly after, around 9:15am.
The morning will consist of four rounds of Classic Constructed, finishing just after 1:00pm. We’ll then take a short lunch break before transitioning into the Draft portion of the event.
Draft seating will be announced at 2:00pm, with the draft beginning shortly after. Once drafting is complete, players pools will be registered and players will build decks before we head into three rounds of Draft to close out Day One.
We expect play to conclude around 6pm, depending on match pace.
---
Day Two – Sunday, June 21st
Day Two will also begin at 9:00am with a short player meeting before jumping straight back into play.
We’ll complete three additional rounds of Classic Constructed, after which we’ll break for lunch after final standings are confirmed. Top 8 players will leave their decks with our judging team during this break to allow deck checks.
Following the lunch break, we’ll invite our Top 8 players back for photos/interveiws (where applicable) before beginning the Top 8 playoff to determine the 2026 New Zealand National Champion.

As always, the best-laid plans aren’t immune to delays or hiccups, so these timings should be treated as guidelines rather than exact guarantees. We’ll keep players informed throughout the day if any adjustments are needed.
We’re looking forward to an incredible weekend of high-level competition and bringing the Flesh and Blood community together here in Wellington.
