The Flesh and Blood World Tour is the best TCG organised play circuit on the market! With $1,500,000 USD up for grabs in hundreds of events across the globe, we urge players to travel the world, make new friends, and play great games for huge cash prizes! Scott Mines breaks down what happened in August, and what's coming up in September...

You’ll be heartbroken to know that I forgot to reserve a seat on the way home from World Tour: Copenhagen. My back is currently screaming at me and I’m acutely aware of my own mortality. It’s not great.
It was one heck of a weekend, though. I had the pleasure of rocking the booth with Simon Nielsen for two straight days as we watched Francesco Giorgio climb the mountain for a second time, and Maximilian Klein almost complete the comeback of the decade. If you haven’t had the chance, consider catching up with the chaos over on the fabtcg YouTube channel!
You’ve got to get yourself to a World Tour stop. There’s still an abundance of events to look forward to this season, and a healthy chunk of that $1,500,000 prize pool left to claim. September isn’t too late to stake your claim to glory - especially with the World Championship just around the corner.
Wanna dance? Sweet. Let’s look at all the events you’ll find across the world this month...
What Happened in August?
August was dominated by Skirmish Season 12. Far and wide, you’d find players of all skill levels preparing to crack ‘em and smack ‘em across Blitz, Living Legend, and Crack, Shuffle, Play. Hopefully you managed to score your Marvel Scurv, Stowaway or Cold Foil Cerebellum Processor. They’re pretty darn sweet.
Over in Auckland, we got to watch both a wonderful revisit to Welcome to Rathe Alpha Edition and get a sneaky peek of the current Classic Constructed format. Logan Boyd felled Jacob Clements in the limited finals (which would be the first of two finals appearances for Clements this month) with Dorinthea, while CYK Lionel rocked the show in Classic Constructed with Dash I/O.
In Kansas City, Gravy Bones, Shipwrecked Looter bit back with a vengeance. The undead buccaneer secured both spots in the final match, with former United States National Champion Evan Herndon dealing the death blow to Jacob Clements this time around. In the accompanying Battle Hardened, a different story quickly broke out: zero copies of Gravy Bones got in the way of James Miller’s scorching result with Kano, Dracai of Aether.
All of this culminated in a unique and exhilarating event in Copenhagen. 15 different heroes managed to reach the top 24, with no more than three copies of any one choice throughout. Tommaso Viscido was just two games away from back-to-back European Calling wins after a two-hour slugfest against Jarl Vetreiði. Maximilian Klein almost clawed back from a Round 1 feature match loss for the biggest upset with Fang, Dracai of Blades. Unfortunately for Max, Francesco Giorgio had other plans on their way to a second Calling title.
Events like these are very special. Just take a moment to enjoy this photo from the final match of the Battle Hardened in Copenhagen:

Look at what it means to Konrad Niva. That’s card games right there.
Somehow, even more heroes have been taking names across the world. Arakni, Marionette, Prism, Awakener of Sol, and Oscilio, Constella Intelligence also won Battle Hardened events this month. On the cusp of Super Slam, this format is far from solved.
World Tour Leaderboard
Things are really heating up at the top of the World Tour leaderboard. We’re T-Minus two months from World Championship: Philadelphia and players from every region are travelling far and wide for a chance to claim their glory. CYK Lionel flew all the way to New Zealand, then Copenhagen, while Jacob Clements has played events in all three geographic regions within the last 30 days.
Honestly? I’m not surprised. There’s $100,000 up for grabs across top performing players of each region and an impressive $25,000 to the overall winner. Even better, each region will award $10,000 to their silver medalist and a snazzy $5,000 to third place. Each result and every point could be the difference between empty hands and thousands of dollars.

In Europe, Tommaso Viscido just won’t let go. The all-star Italian has chained together a Calling win in Bologna, 9th place at Pro Tour: Singapore, and a semi-finals placement in Copenhagen as he chases down Jacob Clements. In return, Clements has consistently smashed expectations and become a certifiable globe-trotter on his way to two more Calling finals. The pair have pulled away from the pack, leaving Alex Chițu fending off both Pablo Pintor and Arthur Trehet if he wants to secure that paycheck.
There are also two Tier 4 champions in the chasing pack over in the Americas. Michael Hamilton and Michael Feng will both need an impressive uptick in results if they hope to catch Brodie Spurlock. Don’t call this a closed book just yet, though. Hamilton has the honor of being one of only two players to reach the elimination rounds of two World Championships. I wouldn’t put it past him to secure a third with an extra $25,000 in the mix.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Nick Butcher is holding on to the throne by a whisker. Pudding Tam and newly crowned Pro Tour Champion Shirui Wu would love to put an end to that reign, with both falling within five points of the current leader. Any single event could flip this region on its head. It’s certainly one to watch as we approach Philidelphia.
Smush it all together and we’ve got quite the story unfolding. Clements, Hamilton, and Viscido are sporting the type of never-say-die attitude that turns this chase into something special. It’s easy to look at Spurlock’s point lead and call the race, but these fierce competitors are making it clear that they haven’t heard no bell.
Events in September
Those champions are going to need more events to play to secure their legacy, but you’re welcome to stake a claim to the title yourself! September is stuffed with Flesh and Blood events across the globe featuring World Tour Points, prize cards, and cold hard cash, headlined by the launch of Super Slam on September 26.
Super Slam World Premiere: Montréal
Are you ready for a day one title match? Prepared to superkick and do a flip off the feature match table? Get your backside down to the most infamous location in wrastlin’ for the World Premiere of Super Slam from September 12-14!
I’ll be rockin’ out in the booth all weekend as we discover the hidden mysteries of Flesh and Blood’s newest set. After the opening act, we’ll get our title fight in a full-blown Calling the following day! I cannot wait to see what the best players in the world can put together as I shovel another bowl of poutine directly into my face.
Tickets for the World Premiere are almost sold out, and the Calling offers $20,000 of prize money, alongside a selection of Gold Foils and an invitation to the big dance in Philadelphia. If you’ve got the option, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Super Slam Pre-Release
Can’t join us in Canada? Have no fear, Super Slam is bringing the show to your local game store between September 19-28. Grab a faction of your friends and your tightest singlet, then prepare to throw down with the shiny new Pre-Release Kit box!
The lovely Alex Norvill cracked one open a little early over on the fabtcg YouTube channel if you’d like a better idea of what’s inside. Are you belting backing vocals for Pleiades or wrapping a steel chair around your enemy alongside Kayo, Underhanded Cheat? Hopefully, I’ll see you there.
Calling: Shizuoka
Fancy a real test of your mettle? Head into the heart of a Shogun’s home in your quest for $20,000, coveted gold foils, and PTIs at the Calling in Shizuoka!
The Classic Constructed main event will be one of our first major looks at the format in the wake of Super Slam, providing a training ground and a wealth of information for World Championship competitors. Even better, a Living Legend Battle Hardened will close the show on Sunday. You can get to grips with both big formats if you want to!
Calling: Shizuoka takes place between September 26-28. I’d love to be hanging out along the pacific coast in late autumn. Quintessentially Japanese tea houses? Stunning views of Mt. Fuji? A whole museum dedicated to sushi?! Get me there right now, please and thank you.
Battle Hardened: Manila
I’ve got to give huge props to Carlo Ople and the rest of the community in the Philippines. They’ve been screaming about this event from the clouds, and it’s resulted in a whopping 230 pre-registered players. At a Battle Hardened. That’s an absurd number to process.
Manila has some of the fiercest competitors in the world, with Calling Champions Justin Cu and Gordon Koh confirmed to be in attendance. It’ll be a tough battle to strip $2,000, a gold foil and a pair of PTIs from these giants, but that’s the reason we compete. Grab a cold Halo-halo, resleeve your best Classic Constructed deck and get down to the Bayanihan Center from September 5-7!
Battle Hardened: Munich
The Flesh and Blood World Tour arrives in Germany off the back of being recognized as a game of skill by the German government. That’s huge. I cannot wait to see what local players get up to in Classic Constructed with $2,000, a gold foil, and a pair of PTIs up for grabs.
If you enjoy a social affair, Munich is phenomenal. There are six major breweries and more than 60 beer gardens to kick back and enjoy the weather. There’s a Glockenspiel show at Marienplatz every single day. If the cards don’t break your way, stuff your face with Bratwurst and enjoy the sights from September 5-7.
Battle Hardened: Chicago
Back in 2024, Chicago played host to one of the first Living Legend Callings we’d ever seen. This time, you’ll have to crack Classic Constructed if you want to take home all the marbles.
$2,000, a beautiful gold foil, and two PTIs will be awarded to the top players in Illinois from September 6-7. Make sure you say hello to the wonderful folks at MinMaxGames for me. If you’re willing to stretch your vacation out a couple days, you can even grab some tickets to see the Chicago Bears against the Minnesota Vikings!
Battle Hardened: Paris
If you weren’t convinced that team events rock, this one sold out almost two months ago. Trust me, I tried to get a ticket!
There’s nothing quite like rocking up to a TCG event with two of your closest friends to ride the highs and lows together. The City of Light will feature Team Classic Constructed on the biggest stage for $3,000 in prize money alongside PTIs and prize cards for the winning team.
It’s not a shabby tourist location either. Ever fancied walking around The Louvre? Soaking up the sights at the Eiffel Tower? There’s so much to do in the fashion capital of the world.
Battle Hardened: Guadalajara
We wrap things up at the end of the month with a showdown in Mexico. The Pearl of the West will play host to an out-and-out Classic Constructed brawl shortly after we’ve started scrapping with Super Slam, offering $2,000 in cash, a gold foil, and a PTI for each finalist.
I hear tortas ahogadas are worth going out of your way to try. The spicy sandwich is stuffed with meat, prawns, and cheese, before being submerged in a spicy tomato sauce. Apparently, that’s a breakfast dish. What in Rathe am I doing eating Starv-O’s?!
